FRANK ACCOSTA
With more than fifteen years of fundraising and event management experience, Frank is credited with leading the successful logistical planning and execution of the 2012, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022 City Parks Alliance Greater & Greener international urban parks conferences in New York, San Francisco, Minneapolis/Saint Paul, Denver, and Philadelphia. He is currently working on the 2024 Greater & Greener conference in Seattle.
In 2017, Frank founded Poplar Events and continued his work with City Parks Alliance for both the Greater & Greener conference and their Park Study tours in Philadelphia, Cleveland, and St. Louis. He recently worked with the National Supermarket Association on their "destination" galas at Mohegan Sun Resort & Casino and Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Connecticut as well as the Associated Supermarket Group Annual Dinner at the TWA Hotel. He also continues to work with the Brooklyn Hospital Foundation on their annual Founders Ball at the Brooklyn Museum. During the pandemic, he produced three virtual galas for the Brooklyn Hospital Foundation, JLUSA, and the Opportunity Agenda.
Previously he served as an Account Executive and later, Vice President at Lorelei Events Group where he successfully coordinated over 30 events in a variety of locations from outdoor-tented events in Prospect Park to a 5K Walk/Run in FDR State Park to galas at the Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Natural History, the New York Marriott Marquis, the Grand Hyatt New York, and the Barclays Center.
Frank’s client roster includes City Parks Alliance, the Brooklyn Hospital Foundation, Math for America, the Children's Tumor Association, the National Supermarket Association, the Associated Supermarket Group, JLUSA, and the Opportunity Agenda.
Prior to 2007, Frank created programming content and special events for the Breckenridge Film Festival where he served on the Board of Directors.
